The Corvallis Half Marathon training program is a ten-week training program made to suit your needs and goals for the Corvallis Half Marathon. An informational meeting will take place at Adams Elementary School on January 17th 2015, at 9 am.
Whether you are looking to complete your first half marathon, decreasing your time performance or looking to train with a group during the winter months this group is for you. The training group will meet twice a week: Tuesday at 6 pm for a track workout at Corvallis High School and 8 am Saturday Mornings for a long run on the half marathon course.
After sign-up and the completion of a previous running questionnaire. You will receive a monthly training calendar that is personalized to your weekly schedule. The Half Marathon training program is run by coaches John Bigouette and Jess Hamm, two long time runners and current PhD students at Oregon State.
The cost of the training program is $60 dollars, $50 for Heart of the Valley Members.

Your membership also supports Club activities that support the running community in Corvallis. Highlights from 2013 include:
- Sponsoring the porta-potty at Bald Hill
- Continued support of the Middle School Cross Country Program
- Northwest Middle School XC Showdown
- The "Out to the Ballgame 5k", staged in conjunction with the Corvallis Knights
- The FREE Resolution Run 5k and kids 1k on January 1.
Heart of the Valley Runners are members of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). The RRCA was founded in 1958 and currently has over 1000 member clubs. One of the benefits that the RRCA provides for our club is an affordable insurance policy that enables the local club to sponsor races, training events, and running programs like the Middle School Cross Country program.Back to the top
